Fear isn't a personality trait — it's usually the result of a rushed appointment. Our whole team trains in low-stress handling, and it changes what's possible in the exam room.

The carrier stays with your cat
Most cats are examined in the bottom half of their own carrier, on their own blanket. Taking them out is the scary part, so we mostly don't.

Treats before hands
Squeeze cheese, chicken, a lick mat — whatever works. Nurses spend the first few minutes doing nothing medical at all, which sounds slow and is actually faster.

We stop when they say stop
If a pet has had enough, we pause, or we split the visit across two days. Pushing through once buys you a decade of a dog who hates the car.
Cat-only mornings. Tuesday and Thursday before noon, no dogs in the building — separate entrance, separate waiting room, pheromone-sprayed towels on every surface.
